paint and plastic, the love affair

So my fine readers, I have put off pulling out the finished pieces, but do not despair as you will be shown what is in my opinion the fine works I have to offer you.

For todays piece, I present a Modified version of a Khorne skull cannon.

The primer is Krylon and the color is grey.
The Base coat is Folk art Sequin Black, which is a Metallic paint.

The front view of the piece

The details were done in a Privateer Press Blighted gold

The horn details were painted with territorial beige from Apple Barrel

Front View at a different angle

Another side view the piston on the rear were painted with gun metal grey from Folk art

And the final view for this post, you can see a few more of the details surfacing

The next installment of this blog will be a continuation of the skull cannon project and perhaps hitting on another project such as the exalted chariot variation or an appearance of my recently finished fiends of slaanesh.

And there were models and it was good

I finally got everything gathered back up and unboxed after my recent deployment. what this means is I can begin posting pictures of my excessive amounts of semi painted models. but first I will give you the full view of the breadth of the project I am going to be undertaking.

The first picture is mostly my daemon army for Warhammer 40k

A few odds and ends that aren't unboxed yet

 My wife's Eldar

A few more I ran across while reorganizing

Some of my extra Skorne that haven't been finished

The next post I will dig out some of my Finished pieces and get then photographed for your viewing pleasure and begin documenting the steps in a few of my partially painted models.

Stay tuned for more laughing, crying, and accidentally gluing multiple objects to yourself

So begins a tale of glue plastic and paint, followed by epic adventures in miniature combat and so much more

This is the first post in a hopefully well put together blog on table top war gaming and building and paint miniatures. I'm andy, a soldier in this great nations army, but when I am not serving the people of the united states, I am a nerd.

My repertoire of hobbies spans from Trading cards games such as Magic the gathering, Through Dungeons and dragons, all the way up to the pricier games such  Warhammer 40K and War machine. On Top of that I am an avid console gamer and a professional mechanic with a wide variety of skill in most type of construction in many mediums.

Now that we have broke the ice with an introduction and a layout of who I am and what I do I have somewhere to post the fruits of my labor and state of intoxication. following this post I invite you to fill up you cup with the drink you drink and see the wonders made at the tips of my brushes and the bits that more often then not end up glued to my fingers.
